No Contact Details on Website?

he said that there is not any contact detail on website. And he was trying to call me before he ran into office. ( Very True, we may have to add numbers very soon) And he requested to post pictures from past events. That was also right thing to ask for. After this incident I think it is better not to put contact number and put only Physical Address by this way people will come , visit and share their ideas with us.

No Picture abou Past Events

He also told us that he was not able to find pictures of past events, though we have all pictures on our Facebook Event Page about stationary donation in Ahmedabad and on Google Plus as well. I am Posting some images here as well.

boy securing a blanket at such a camp for winter

As the winter is approaching soon, after the success of the very first event in distributing stationery items for kids check out pics of event, this time we are organizing an event to collect and distribute blankets/warm clothes/ food, etc. to the underprivileged people on the streets of Ahmedabad.  It is of no surprise to us, that there are people in need of these basic necessities of keeping themselves warm in winter. Let’s once again join forces and contribute as much/little as we can and help people to have warmth this winter!

The distribution of clothes etc. would take place on Sunday, 23 December 2012. Before this day, we want to gather as many resources/ garments as possible from you people. So if you have unused/ old stuff that you want to get rid of, please contact us and we would come to you and collect the stuff from you. Please call Ketan Raval on + 91 90996 05091.

Apart from this, if you think you can offer any manpower in volunteering any sort of work for the same good cause, please get in touch with Ketan. We need more helping hands… the More the Merrier!

We are open to any kind of suggestions, if you have any. Please feel free to approach for any queries you have. Let’s make it happen once again. Thank you!

Education is a key to success. We at Lets Nurture believe in spreading happiness to  needy people who wants to learn something. Our vision is very simple to endow the essential needs for the education of the needy children who are actually willing to gain knowledge but could not due to lack of basic necessity. Keeping alive this charity event, Team Lets Nurture decided to convey the event this year also. Fundamental thing to gain knowledge is to have Pencil, Sharpener, Eraser , Book and Inspiration. We can build better future if we can bring more education awareness in society.

I personally want to thank few friends  Chirag Prajapati and Dipali Thakkar. They both really helped a ton with their full dedication. We would also like to thank both Chintan Gurjar and Nixit Patel for joining the charity and helping us spreading the joy to the children. And I can not forget to thank TEAM LETSNURTURE, without team letsnurture it would not have possible.

Before describing much about event I want to remember few names like Amit Panchal, Soham Jain, Khushbu Lalani, Kapil Jain, Miteshbhai Sanghavi, Chetan Bhimani, Vishal Raval, Mittal Raval, Nirav Patel ,Tapan Patel, Harendrasing Rajput and  few other donors who want to keep their name anonymous.

Finally it was the day and Team Lets Nurture gathered all the things and was ready for making difference with One Pencil, Sharpener, Eraser & Book. We packed up all the things and left the office at 12 PM and went to our first place named “Helpline Education” near Pragatinagar, This Trust  is providing school + shelter for 42 underprivileged children. Kids were very happy to see us and it was really warm welcome. We played some quiz contest with kids to know that how hard they are learning. We all felt the joy of giving. After that place we went to Ghatlodiya Municipal School, where total 600 students are studying at present. Team Lets Nurture was there and waiting for the recess time to start the donation to those innocent children. We decided to make different groups and spread out in the different classrooms so that it can be easy to complete this social cause quick and in a better way.

At the time when we were endowing the pencil, sharpener, eraser and books, one of our team members Manan Patel (Our Un (official) Photographer) was seriously busy taking the photographs of the students and our team members. All the team members coordinated the whole task with their skills and the second place for the charity was about to complete. We spent some heart touching time with those children and played some games and talked with them. We were very happy to get the answers about some difficult question that we asked to those students.

Leaving that place we were on the third and the last place for our social cause, it was Ghatlodiya Municipal School No. 2, where there were two classrooms full of cute and sharp children. As like before, we distributed stationary and spent some quality time with future of India. We enjoyed a lot with them as we asked and talked many things with them.

We have initiated something that can make some difference to our country and the education society and we need your help to make this bigger.

If you think we are doing it properly or you have any suggestion then kindly review us for our initiative. You can support Lets Nurture Org if you want to make some difference with us.

We are hosting another event for People who struggles during winter Please check Event Detail here http://www.facebook.com/events/373596989392370/

Last week, on 11th of October, UN announced it to be the international girl child day. The focus is to strengthen the possibilities of female children’s right to education, well being, protection and guidance as and when needed.

This effort makes sense, around the same time when a pakistani teenage girl advocating girls’ education was shot fatally by taliban gunmen. She is stable but unconscious yet! And the gunmen are yet to be arrested.

On the other hand, we hear/ read news almost everyday about the never ending chain of rape and gang-rape cases, specially in India. Well, Haryana has recorded around 60 rape cases per month in 2011, statistics say. Then the khap panchayat had made a suggestion earlier of reducing the age for girls for marriage, even younger than 18 years – the official marriageable age!! And they had to say, that this is how it was done in Mughals’ era to honor women! (well, food for thought!)

We know it’s not the case with just Haryana. MP, Delhi, Assam, etc. they are competitors when it comes to rape cases, just to name a few. The numbers have been increasing dramatically in last few years than never before.

On the same note, India has been declared as one of the leading countries in practicing child marriages. Well, almost 50% of the marriages are recorded as under-age marriages. And to our surprise, in this developing world, where awareness to these social issues is being induced by different NGOs or some government events, from the statistics point of view, the numbers are only going to increase for child marriages!!

One of the very strong points to mention here is the social pressure that the females undergo in cases of rape or forced child marriages. In hisar gang rape case, the father of the 16 year old female committed suicide. possibility of rise of such situations also don’t let the sexually assaulted females to come out in public and report their complaints.

Well, as of now the only solution is to try to grow and spread awareness about women’s and girls’ rights as much as possible. If you come across or hear about some violence against females, rather than avoiding the issue as some news, you could try to help them, support them, or whatever little contribution you can afford, would be of great help to society in general!

Please pen down your opinion / suggestions about this. We would be glad to hear from many of you!

How Share Your Books & Why Share your books

When I was in college I wanted to refer many books but could not find in library and was not in the position to buy all those books as just for the sake of few pages.. I can not buy all books.. till then I had decided.. whenever I will have position..I will start sharing all my books.. Having Library was my dream but I believe.. we need virtual library instead of having library at single location…

Imagine if we have one “Share Your Books” Concept in each city .. wherever we go we will be able to read books without shedding much money on it.. ( I think publishers will not like my initiative but what else I can do.. you can not make everyone happy right? )
