Hello , Major Chauhan. this is my thank you note and appology note for not being helpful when you wanted.. I was unable to come to Bharuch and collect clothes that you wanted to donate. I had promised that I will be coming but as I mentioned in call I have been busy lately some work and could not make it up to Bharuch.

To All readers of this blog.. Major Chauhan is working somewhere in Bharuch and had called me to come and be their guest. He has done great social work and have collected lots and lots of clothes from his office friends and society. He has promised me that if I can not come he will send all clothes to my Office. I am really great full to Major Chauhan.

This is one more time thank you note for the people who has put trust one me.. and my organization. During last 12 months I have received plenty of clothes without event seeing each other.. Thank you a girl from Patna, Thank you very much a journalist from Bangalore and Thank you so many ladies of Ahmedabad for donating clothes and toys for under privileged kids..

No , we do not maintain names, we do not maintain database or phone numbers.. we do not even keep things at our place more than specific time.. with in 30 days we distribute it to desired people and if we do not find anyone we distribute old donated clothes to some known old age homes and orphanage.

We are doing our bit.. I hope you will keep supporting us…

Phailin has hit today at the east coast of India. Andra Pradesh / Maldives / Orissa has been affected badly. More than 1 mn People migrated today…

We are requesting people to come forward and donate old clothes, medicines, food packets to relief fund or prime minister relief fund.  We have bags of old clothes.. if anyone knows how to delivery these old clothes to victims .. we are ready to donate all our old clothes into Phailin Victims…

What you can donate?

  • Clothes
  • Shoes/  Slippers
  • Medicines
  • Food Packets
  • Curtains and Blankets
  • Any old items which can be reused.

Cyclone seems big and very scary.. we have to come forward and help our brothers and sisters..

Where you can donate?

we will get more details for this soon once the government releases some reports and we think some good NGOs will come forward for sure..

Last week.. my sister and brother-in-law donated some clothes which we had collected from our valuable donors last month..  old cloth donation is now becoming our favorite weekend activity. Today my wife and brother-in-law have also gone for old clothes donation near Naroda.  Here are a couple of pictures from it.. this is just the right spirit which we want to keep doing alive…

Help Society

We can help ourselves, we do not need to go and ask for help.. if we keep helping each other. most of the problem will solve in society.. and we will never have to wait for a superhero to save us.

Uttrakhand has witnessed one of the worst floods of this decade. After 2 weeks of Flood still figure is huge for lost people. Things are so worse that still, we are unable to find so many people.  In this situation, we have to open up our heart and start helping our countrymen.

Let Put Politics Aside.

This is not the right time to discuss political advantage. Media has completely diverted whole matter into the different thing but as an Indian, it is our duty to do something right .. let even media stay aside.

What we can do to help Flood Victims?

Donate Clothes

Remember Flood victims are travelers they will not have enough clothes to survive. And Without clothing, it is difficult to survive in flood & forest.

Donate Foods

I don’t think I need to say anything we should donate Foods. There was a news that one bisleri bottle was sold for 250 Rs/- & Parle-g biscuit was costing 500 rs/-.. lets this capitalism stop.

Donate Medicines

Medicines and medicare items are going to help these victims to survive .. most of them will need medication during or after coming out of the area. If you have access to medicines try to donate as much as you can.

It is my humble appeal to do something for Uttrakhand Flood Victims.

If anyone from Ahmedabad wants to join hand on sending a donation of clothes/foods and medicines … We are ready to join our hands

Pratik-BhansaliThis post was due from last month… Last month Me and my wife went to visit my friend Pratik Bhansali‘s Home ( Once in a month we do this)  during talk he shared one thought provoking incident about condition of below poverty line people in India. His instant action has prompted me to write about his good deed ( I am pretty sure he will never even come across this blog post )

He went to Shani Temple opp. SAL Hospital at Ahmedabad.. while returning back he found one lady laying down on the corner of road .. when he drove near by her . Pratik found that lady has just given birth probably just a few hours or just a day before.. her child was  suffering with her without any food / medication.  I was just shocked when he shared this thing with me .. But Thank god that Pratik had little human still left in his soul.. he promptly told his wife to prepare some healthy food for that lady & came back and gave food to that lady…

I am pretty sure Pratik on that day you saved two lives & also inspired many more souls to do the same..  I had already decided that I will write this incident here and finally today this post is here.. 🙂

India is full of poor people and reach people ..  but this country needs help from common man… my appeal to everyone is to think beyond being capitalist .. think beyond fame.. think beyond career ..  there are lot of things you can do .. and there are lot of things which can make you better human being..

Share-your-books-Tan-tulsi-man-mogro  Sharad Thakar is one of the best writer I have seen.. I have read many of his  books.. but this is not read by me.. my wife has just finished this book  last week and has put up in our closet.. if anyone wants to read this book , we are happy to share our book if anyone around want to read this book.

Just like all Sharad Thakar’s other books this book is also based on true stories happening around normal life of people. You can preview some of its chapter here .. I would personally recommend each and every individual to read his book.. All his books are in Gujarati..

Old-clothes-Donation-Children-Ahmedabad

“Few things just happens .. you do not need to put an extra effort”

this is what happened with me and Mr. Arbindo  ( Mr.Arbindo correct me if I am wrong ) he called me on Monday and told that he wanted to donate some clothes in our organization.  During a conversation, we shared that we take old toys / old books and other stuff also. Logistic & time is a very big problem when you want to do social work. I personally try to meet everyone as this is something I want to do from my inner within. But it is not always possible. This is what happened this time. I thought to send someone to get these clothes but eventually it did not happen, finally, I thought I will drive by and will get it from Mr.Arbindo’s home which is near to Ambawadi.

Mr. Arbindo prepared 2 boxes with clearly mentioned one for children and one for grownups and sent a person to our office at ghatlodia. It was really a good moment for me when I have checked well organized two boxes.  Most of my family time went on churning these stuff when someone donates clothes.  So this time my wife got happy as well that she will not be punished because of my social work J

We got a lot of toys, clothes, books & a color TV in donation last month.. We visited nearby NGO Helpline Education…  Where we are providing volunteering service for fundraising, operational & management services. Today we visited Helpline with so tons of clothes, toys… we talked with Ravi, Maya and other kids who are being nurtured there. It was an immense pleasure to see that kids loved these toys. They just started playing with it right away and we were watching how one old toys which wasn’t even used from so many days or even neglected by us can give them so much of happiness in their life.. it is difficult to explain but it was really great to witness.

clothes-toys-statinoaries-donationYesterday Morning, I got a call from Mrs. Upadhyay … She is a mother of 2 lovely kids .. her husband is working in Doha, Qatar. She informed that they are relocating to a new house and they have plenty of old clothes, blankets, toys, stationary to donate. As it was Sunday we had not planned anything else.. me and my wife decided to visit her and bring all the stuff at my home…

We drove from Ghatlodiya to Maninagar and brought utensils, clothes and some soft toys.. We are pretty sure with these things so many kids will be able to smile. Mrs. Upadhyay has also promised to donate TV  and a computer..  so we are going to donate these two one NGO which is helping kids to learn to study…

What we will do with utensils?

Mrs.Upadhay has donated a lot of utensils etc.. we will donate those things to old age home.. as we know that those old people sometimes unable to buy anything due to lack of finance. so, these things will help them to improve their lives a bit…
